By accessing or using SnapTrip ("Service"), operated at snaptripai.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notice.
2. Description of Service
SnapTrip is an AI-powered travel planning platform that provides:
- Personalized destination recommendations based on your preferences.
- Day-by-day itinerary generation with budget breakdowns.
- Snap Trip — image-based destination recognition and trip planning.
- Maya — an AI travel assistant for travel advice and tips.
- Trip saving, sharing, collaboration, and PDF export.
3. Account Registration
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately at hello@snaptripai.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.
4. Free & Paid Plans
4.1 Free Plan
- Up to 3 AI-generated trip plans per month.
- 1 free Snap Trip (image-based trip generation).
- Access to Maya AI travel assistant.
- Trip saving and sharing.
4.2 Pro Plan ($9.99/month or $79.99/year)
- Unlimited AI trip generation.
- Unlimited Snap Trips.
- Priority AI processing.
- All free plan features.
4.3 Per-Trip Plan ($2.99/trip)
- Pay-as-you-go for individual trip generation.
- No monthly commitment.
5. Payments & Billing
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
- Subscription plans renew automatically. You can cancel anytime from your account settings.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds for partial months.
- Prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change applies to their account.
6. Refund Policy
- Subscriptions: You may request a refund within 7 days of your initial purchase if you have not used the Service extensively. Contact hello@snaptripai.com.
- Per-trip purchases: Non-refundable once a trip plan has been generated.
- Renewal charges: Not eligible for refund. Please cancel before your renewal date if you wish to stop.
7. AI-Generated Content
Important: All trip plans, itineraries, budget estimates, and recommendations are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational purposes only.
- AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or errors. Always verify critical details (visa requirements, safety advisories, pricing) with official sources before traveling.
- Budget estimates are approximate and based on general data. Actual costs may vary significantly based on season, availability, exchange rates, and personal choices.
- SnapTrip is not a travel agency and does not book flights, hotels, or activities on your behalf.
- We are not responsible for any decisions made based on AI-generated recommendations.
8. User Content & Conduct
8.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload (images, notes, trip preferences). By uploading content, you grant SnapTrip a limited, non-exclusive license to process it for the purpose of providing the Service.
8.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service systematically.
- Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures.
- Upload malicious, offensive, or illegal content.
- Create multiple accounts to abuse free-tier limits.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit AI-generated trip plans without permission.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
9. Intellectual Property
- The SnapTrip name, logo, design, and codebase are owned by SnapTrip and protected by intellectual property laws.
- AI-generated trip plans are provided to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may share them with travel companions and download them as PDFs for personal use.
- You may not use SnapTrip's branding, trademarks, or materials without written permission.
10. Third-Party Services
SnapTrip integrates with third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms:
- Anthropic (Claude AI): Powers trip generation and Maya assistant.
- Stripe: Handles payment processing.
- Google: Provides OAuth sign-in.
- Unsplash: Provides destination imagery.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- SnapTrip shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SnapTrip and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your use or misuse of the Service.
- Any content you upload to the Service.
- Any travel decisions made based on AI-generated content.
13. Account Termination
- By you: You may delete your account at any time. Your data will be removed within 30 days.
- By us: We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, abusive behavior, or non-payment. We will provide notice where reasonably possible.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Saved trip data may be deleted.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted in English.
You waive any right to participate in class-action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
